I'm adding this page as a little "go to" resource for the things to keep on hand in your kitchen when preparing healthy dishes. This was a request (thanks AK!) from a friend and I think it's a great idea, so instead of posting this on the blog, I'm going to leave it here so it's easy to access! I'm sure once this is posted, I will need to amend it too! I will update the list as I think of more to add.
Here's a list of "essential" ingredients to stock your kitchen with:
Agave Nectar
Baking Powder (no aluminum)
Baking Soda
Bragg's Liquid Aminos
Daiya Cheese (cheddar, mozzarella)
Ener-G Egg Replacer
Flax Oil
Flax Seed (ground or whole if you have a grinder)
Fresh Fruits & Veggies (organic when possible)
Frozen Fruits & Veggies (organic when possible)
Maple Syrup (100% pure)
Nuts & Nut Butters (almond, peanut, pecan/walnut)
Oils (peanut, olive, vegetable, safflower, coconut, canola)
Organic Cane Sugar or Turbinado
Plant Based Protein Powder (for smoothies)
Sea Salt
Spices (replace every 6 months, they expire!)
Tamari (low sodium)
Vegetable Shortening
Vegetable Stock/Broth
Vinegars (balsamic, rice, white/red wine, etc)
Wheat Germ (raw)
Whole Grain Flours (this will depend on your dietary needs)
